Moms who love Jesus love their children in the form of prayer. It is what we do.

We pour out our hearts before God about every need we can see they have. We pray for their hearts to love Him. Our hands are laid on them as we pray over their healing. We battle the dark side ferociously in the name of Jesus when they struggle. Begging God to intervene is what many of us do for a variety of needs.

There are plenty of quiet moments when we thank God for them as they are sitting there eating, sleeping, playing ball, you name it.

Our intercessory prayers do more to move heaven than we even know.

This prayer above set in the Old Testament was meant for parents to speak over their children.

We would be wise to do the same.

This is a repeat prayer. One we can sing over them – thank you Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes – or speak over them. It will never get old. Praying the Words of God is one of my favorite ways to pray.

So if you have been looking for something beautiful and powerful to pray over your children – look no further than Numbers 6:24-26.

  • The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace.
